When it comes to large fish, sharks are immediately remembered. And what is the biggest shark in the world now living on the Earth? Answering this question, many confidently call the whale shark, sometimes - an elephant. As the names indicate, both species are associated with the largest mammals - the inhabitants of water and land - the blue whale and the African elephant. Such associations are completely justified:

The body length of the blue whale is 33 m, the maximum weight is up to 190 tons.

The average weight of the African elephant female is 5 tons, males’ weight - up to 7 tons; and the largest specimen of the male, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, had a weight of 12.24 tons.
